💙 Join us at Selina’s place for an afternoon of Blues 💙
Movie screening
We’ll be watching a movie about Nina Simone, a singer and pianist who blended blues, jazz, and gospel with powerful emotion. Her soulful style and fresh takes on blues songs helped inspire later swing and jazz musicians. What Happened, Miss Simone? is a 2015 biographical documentary film about her life.
Blues practice
After the screening, we’ll make some space on the floor to practice some Blues steps with the help of our learning videos.
