Cape Town Swing is planning a future with dancing every night, live swinging jazz everywhere, and accessible classes and events all around the city. Your membership will help us streamline class admin and stabilise our revenue, so that we can sustainably offer more classes, special guest teachers and kick-ass events.

Terms & Conditions

  • Membership applications must be made by the 20th of the month prior to the first debit order going off.
  • The joining fee is payable immediately, but your first debit payment will then only be charged on the 1st of the following month.
  • A minimum commitment of three months is required.
  • Memberships may be frozen after the initial 3 months — only once during a 12 month period, for minimum 1 month and maximum 6 calendar months. Please scroll down for freezing Ts & Cs.

  • Memberships can be cancelled after the initial 3 months by completing the cancellation form below. Please scroll down for cancellation Ts & Cs.

Please complete the form below if you would like to sign up as a CTS Member. We'll get back to you as soon as possible with the next steps.

Please note:

  • Your application must be made by the 20th of the month preceding the starting month of your membership. e.g. if you want your membership to start in April, you must complete the application form before 20 March. Our admin team needs this time to process the change.
  • You should pay for classes at our drop-in rate until your membership debit order has been processed.
  • A joining fee must be paid before the membership will be approved.
  • Students and pensioners must provide valid ID before their membership application is processed.

    Freeze your membership

    Need to step away from Cape Town Swing for a while? That's ok! You are welcome to 'freeze' your CTS membership for a period of time. Here are our Terms & Conditions for freezing a membership:
    • Freeze requests must be made by the 20th of the month preceding the requested freeze period. e.g. if you want to freeze your membership from November onwards, you must make your freeze request before 20 October. Our admin team needs this time to process the change.

    • Memberships may be frozen only once during a 12-month period, after the initial 3 months.

    • The minimum freeze period is one month, and you may keep it frozen for a maximum of 6 months. Your membership will be reactivated after the specified period without you having to pay a joining fee.

    • Please pay a R50 admin fee to cover our administrative costs in processing your cancellation:

    • Your membership will only be considered cancelled once you have received an email confirmation and a corresponding reference number.

      Is our Membership offering no longer a good fit for you? No problem! Please take note of our cancellation process and Terms & Conditions:

      • Cancellation requests must be made by the 20th of the month for the following month's debit order to be stopped. e.g. if you want to cancel your membership from November onwards, you must make your cancellation request before 20 October. Our admin team needs this time to process the change.

      • Memberships may be cancelled after the initial 3 months by completing the cancellation form below and paying a R50 admin fee.
      • Please pay a R50 admin fee to cover our administrative costs in processing your cancellation:
