This 2-hour workshop will focus on giving you confidence in mixing rhythms and footwork patterns on the social floor. One of the special skills of Lindy Hoppers is seamlessly transitioning between 6-count, 8-count and Charleston rhythm basics within a single dance. In this workshop, we will focus on tips for effectively leading and following these different footwork patterns and rhythms. In addition, we will cover the basic aspects of swing music structure to improve your connection to the music and your partner. This workshop is aimed at dancers who have taken each of the four core beginner courses and want to start integrating these on the social floor.
Please note that this is an Improver-Level workshop: it’s expected that every attendee will have been introduced to each of the four core Beginner courses.
Note: CTS members get 30% off
